Cape Town Cycle Tour - Sunday 10 March 2024:

The Cape Town Cycle Tour.  This will take place this Sunday 10 March with approximately 35000 riders taking to the roads.

Mouille Point will be closed once again at Beach / Beach and Helen Suzman so the best way to get in and out of the suburb is via the V&A Waterfront or via Granger Bay Boulevard into Helen Suzman, direction Granger Bay Blvd  towards City, or coming home, via Helen Suzman direction City towards Granger Bay Boulevard.  Or Portswood Road onto and off Helen Suzman.

Helen Suzman will be closed in both directions from the Circle towards Sea Point.

Mouille Point will be blocked at Beach, Beach and Helen Suzman.

Mouille Pointers will need to come and go via the V&A Waterfront or via Helen Suzman and around the circle into Granger Bay Boulevard / from Granger Bay Boulevard into Helen Suzman direction City.  Or Portswood Road onto and off Helen Suzman.

Helen Suzman will be closed in both directions from the Circle towards Sea Point.




SPAR Women's Challenge - Sunday 24 March 2024

There will be approximately 15 000 women doing a 5Km Run / Walk, a 10Km Walk and a 10KM Run on Sunday 24 March starting at 07h00 from Vlei Road.


07h00 - 10Km Run starts (4000 people expected)

07h03 - 10Km Walk starts (3000 people expected)

07h45 - 5Km Run / Walk starts (8000 people anticipated).


Route:  Vlei into Fritz Sonnenberg, right into Beach Road (hugging the golf course lane) (Hotel School, Radisson Hotel and Waterclub people to leave by turning left into Beach Road sea side lane towards the V&A and left into Haul Road), right into Granger Bay Blvd using Stadium side lanes, across the Forecourt at McDonald's, onto Helen Suzman (direction Sea Point) - 

- 5Km race crosses at Beach, Beach and Helen Suzman and goes along Beach Road Mouille Point sea side lanes to Fritz Sonnenberg, into Stephan and onto the Shared Fields.

- 10Km crosses at Beach, Beach and Helen Suzman and carries along the Sea Point sea side lanes of Beach Road to the end and back to Mouille Point to Fritz Sonnenberg, into Stephan and onto the Shared Fields.
